Britain-Alsharqiya October 10: British designer Jenny Beckham, who is considered one of the favorite designers of Princess of Wales Kate Middleton, presented her collection of ready-to-wear fashions for the upcoming spring and summer in the form of a lookbook on the sidelines of Fashion Month activities.
Jenny Beckham is considered one of the most prominent evening and wedding fashion designers in the United Kingdom. She began her career in the field of design during the nineties of the last century, and her designs have been worn by many international stars, including: Angelina Jolie, Keira Knightley, Kate Winslet, and Kate Hudson. She also holds an honorary doctorate from the prestigious Southampton Solent University in recognition of her contributions to the field of the fashion industry.
Beckham's new collection was inspired by the atmosphere of the fifties and sixties of the last century, specifically the looks of high society women of that period. This capsule collection, which consisted of only about 20 designs, appeared bright in all its details, from the choice of materials to the colors and embroidery, which decorated the looks with soft touches at times and covered them completely at other times.
For Jenny Beckham, searching for sources of inspiration in the past does not mean restoring it in all its details, as this British designer was keen that her designs meet the needs of modern women to look radiant on their occasions. She presented a group of looks in black, with simple cuts close to the body, which included embroidery at the collar, shoulders, or sleeves. As for the sparkling touches, they were evident in embroidery with beads and metallic looks in gold and silver colors. The designer also used white, pink, and blue in their light shades to create designs that are characterized by a delicate and very elegant nature, but are also capable of transforming every woman who wears them into a star.
