Who is the "swan" that inspired Elie Saab in his travel collection?

Italy-Alsharqiya, June 22: Elie Saab presented its 2024 trips collection through a Lookbook illustrated guide, which it revealed its details on its website and pages on social media. This group was titled "The Swan", and its inspiration is a lady from the Italian velvet society and one of the symbols of elegance and beauty in the twentieth century, who bore the title "the swan".

This lady is Marella Agnelli, who was born in Florence in 1927 and died in Turin in 2019. She belonged to the Italian aristocracy and worked as a photographer and collector of antiques, as well as a social activist and fashion icon, which explains her classification as one of the most elegant women in 1963.

Designer Elie Saab chose this woman for her Mediterranean elegance. And it inspired him to present a group of designs that included more than 50 looks, distinguished by its modern nature, in which touches of fun and romance entered at other times.

The black and white duo dominated a large part of the collection's designs, and the designer used the radiance of gold and silver, in addition to the colors green, red, and lilac. The "minimalist" character was evident in this group, which was dominated by monochromatic looks with a shy appearance of designs decorated with prints, lines, or even embroidery. They included short gowns, monochromatic suits, silk caftans, jumpsuits, and evening dresses covered with embroidery.

The designs were accompanied by a group of accessories that took the form of leather belts, sunglasses, and small handbags, and the fashion was coordinated with high-heeled wooden sandals. This collection comes to prove once again that simplicity can make a remarkable impression, just like the elaborate decorations, as these designs were able to reduce the concept of elegance embodied by the Elie Saab house and resonate with women who are looking for elegant and influential fashion options at the same time.
