London - Al Sharqiya December 23: The WhatsApp application has decided to end support for some old devices that run the Android operating system starting from the beginning of 2025. Starting from January 1, WhatsApp will not work on Android devices running Android KitKat or older versions of the Android operating system on WhatsApp. The new change means that people using old Android devices will have to buy newer devices in order to be able to use the WhatsApp application, according to reports from specialized technology news sites on Monday. WhatsApp will end support for old Android devices because they are unable to support the new features that will be added to the application, according to the Mint website. With this change, the WhatsApp application will not work on many popular Android phones, including the Samsung Galaxy S3, Motorola Moto G, HTC One X, and Sony Xperia Z. The Android KitKat version was released in 2013. Google ended support for that version of the operating system earlier this year.
