Tehran - ALsharqiya, August 13: The US State Department has expressed its objection to the security memorandum of understanding signed by Iraq and Iran. State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said that Washington opposes any legislation that conflicts with US goals and contradicts efforts to strengthen security institutions in Iraq. State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce added during a press conference that Washington supports true Iraqi sovereignty, not legislation that would turn Iraq into a state subservient to Iran.
