The temperature exceeds 52 degrees in Basra

Basra - ALsharqiya, August 10: The temperature in Basra Governorate on Sunday exceeded 52 degrees Celsius for the third time this year, while 15 Iraqi cities topped the list of the highest temperatures in the world for the first time this year, as no non-Iraqi city appeared on the list. The Basra International Airport area recorded 25.6 degrees Celsius, followed by four cities where the temperature exceeded 50 degrees Celsius: Nasiriyah, Al-Hussein area in Basra, Samawah, and Amara. The temperature exceeded 49 degrees Celsius in eight cities, namely: Al-Rifai, Najaf Airport, Karbala, Ali al-Gharbi, Baghdad Airport, Hit, Kut, and Badra, while the temperature approached 49 degrees in each of Diwaniyah and Ain al-Tamr.
