Italy-ALsharqiya, June 20: Dolce & Gabbana presented its collection of men's fashion for spring and summer 2024 during a show that took place at Milan Men's Fashion Week, which was recently held in the Italian fashion capital. This collection bore the title "Stile", meaning style in Italian, in which the house combined exquisite cuts with renewed touches that were manifested in feminine lines that entered men's fashion with secrecy.
The show included about 75 looks, predominantly black and white, for the most part, and it was accompanied by a shy appearance of gray and brown colors in their various shades. Before the show, the house had published an overview of its content through a "Lookbook" illustrated guide that included some pictures of the looks and was accompanied by a lexical definition of the word "Stile" (which is the title of the collection) saying: the clothes and behavior of a talented person in the field of elegance, handsomeness, and serenity. It is the same definition that applies to the character of the Dolce & Gabbana man who we saw in this show.
The designers of the house, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, used a variety of materials in implementing the designs of this group, including: poplin, crepe, silk, and wool, as well as touches of chiffon, organza, and lace, which are considered feminine materials par excellence.
The suit was the main piece in this show, and it was executed in neutral colors and decorated with a flower on the chest, with a tie, or with both. Sometimes thin vertical lines in black and white have entered it. These stripes also appeared on summer shirts and pants adorned with camellia flowers. Flowers also appeared perforated on shirts that matched trousers in the "Saharian" style, or even in the form of brooches that adorned the collars of black jackets and coats.
This collection offers a modern interpretation of Dolce&Gabbana's iconic symbols, balancing sophistication and style loyalty. It has succeeded in highlighting the relationship between personal identity and style in elegance while preserving the importance of starting from solid foundations and great self-esteem. She also focused, as usual, on perfection in the structure and tailoring of designs.
