The Prime Minister inaugurates Mosul International Airport

Mosul - ALsharqiya, July 16: Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani inaugurated Mosul International Airport on Wednesday morning after its rehabilitation and development, in the presence of Nineveh Governor Abdul Qader Al-Dakhil and a number of officials, ministers and representatives. Al-Sudani toured the airport's departments, facilities, reception and departure halls, and viewed the control tower. He confirmed that Mosul Airport will be fully operational within two months, after selecting a specialized company for this task, noting that the airport will be an additional link between Mosul and the rest of Iraq and the region. Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani also inaugurated the implementation work of the Nineveh Refinery Project in Hammam Al-Alil, with a production capacity of up to 70,000 barrels per day. Al-Sudani emphasized that power plants and refineries are the main drivers of the economic development needed by industry, and that boosting production in refineries and preserving the funds allocated for importing petroleum derivatives is the real reform. He also stressed the importance of strategic projects for Nineveh Governorate, pointing to the opening of refineries in several governorates, based on national efforts within a government vision to provide energy sources and fuel derivatives in every governorate.
