Egypt-Al-Sharqiya September 29: The movie “Foy, Foy, Foy” by artist Mohamed Farrag yesterday, Thursday, in cinemas, collected revenues amounting to one million and 604 thousand and 45 pounds.
“Foy Foy Foy” is a black comedy drama film that tells the story of Hassan, a security guard, who lives a poor life with his mother, and seeks to travel outside Egypt by joining the blind football team in one of the World Cup tournaments in Europe.
The film is inspired by true events, and is written and directed by Omar Hilal, starring Mohamed Farrag, Bayoumi Fouad, Taha Desouky, Amjad Al-Hajjar, Hanan Youssef, Mohamed Abdel Azim, and Haggag Abdel Azim, in collaboration with the star Nelly Karim and a special appearance by Basant Shawky.
The selection committee for the film nominated to represent Egypt in the Oscar race revealed that it had nominated the film “Foy, Foy, Foy” to compete for the Best Foreign Film Oscar.
The Academy Award is scheduled to receive country nominations for the Best Non-English-Speaking Foreign Film Award, then the competing films will be selected and announced until the winning film is announced based on the Oscar administration’s choice.
