United States-ALSHARQIYA August 30: Bob Barker, presenter of the famous game show "The Price is Right" on American television for more than 35 years, has died at the age of 99, according to what his agent announced Saturday.
His agent said in a statement: “It is with deep sadness that we announce that the greatest presenter of all time, Bob Barker, has left us.”
The presenter, who won 19 Emmy Awards in addition to the most prominent American television awards, died of “natural causes” at his home in the Hollywood Hills, in the state of California in the western United States.
Bob Barker first achieved fame by introducing the game Truth or Consequences between 1956 and 1975. The Price Is Right game began in 1972 on CBS.
His charisma and charm quickly made him one of the favorite presenters among American viewers, and he continued to present this game until 2007.
Parker was also known for his animal welfare activism, and he always ended episodes of “The Price Is Right” with the same phrase: “Spay your pet!”
The former flagship of the Sea Shepherd NGO, which fights specifically against whaling, was named after Bob Barker, after he donated $5 million to the organization.
