Baghdad - ALsharqiya August 5: Iraqi sports and social circles mourned on Tuesday the former international football player and sports commentator Shadrake Yousef, 83, after a long struggle with illness. The late Shadrake Yousef was one of the most prominent football players in Iraq and was named the best player in the Arab Cup in 1966 after winning the title in Baghdad. He then turned to sports commentary after his retirement, becoming one of the most important commentary icons in Iraq. He established a football school to discover and develop talents in Erbil before suffering from illness for a long time and undergoing surgery in 2022 to remove his digestive system after it was proven that a tumor had spread inside it.
