Tehran - ALsharqiya, August 13: The Iranian embassy in Baghdad rejected the statements of the US State Department spokesperson regarding the recent security agreement signed between Iraq and Iran. The embassy stressed that the common will of Iran and Iraq to strengthen relations is a guarantee of peace, stability, and security on their shared border and in the region. The Iranian embassy statement indicated that the statements of the US State Department spokesperson opposing the signing of a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between Iran and Iraq constitute unacceptable interference in the relations between two independent neighboring countries.
