Basra - Al-Sharqiya, June 3: The South Korean national team arrived in Basra, in preparation for facing the Iraqi national team, in the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. South Korean national team coach, Hong Myung, said in a press conference before heading to Iraq that the team is going through a less stable period than before, but it has shining players in the Korean League, and others who have returned from Europe, and they are in excellent condition. The coach added that the temperatures in Iraq will be a challenge, but the team is able to adapt to it.
