Washington - Al Sharqiya, December 19: Oil prices continued their gains against the backdrop of escalating attacks on commercial ships and tankers in the Red Sea, to exceed $78 per barrel. Brent crude futures rose 17 cents to reach $78 and 12 cents, and US crude futures rose by 14 cents to $72 and 61 cents per barrel.
