Baghdad-ALSHARQIYA December 30 : The Iraqi Ministry of Oil announced the resumption of operations in the Nasiriyah oil field in southern Iraq today, Monday, while Reuters quoted two oil sector sources as saying that restoring production in full will take up to two days. Protesters stormed the field, which produces between 80 and 85 thousand barrels per day of oil, on Saturday, and forced its workers to cut electricity to the control station, which led to the suspension of the field. The Oil Ministry announced that stopping production in the Nasiriyah field did not affect Iraq's exports and confirmed that it would use Basra fields to compensate Nasiriyah's shipments.
