Washington - ALsharqiya March 8: Amazon-owned streaming service Prime Video announced that it has begun a new experiment in dubbing some licensed movies and TV shows using artificial intelligence. This experiment will include dubbing services in English and Latin Spanish, where artificial intelligence technologies will be combined with the expertise of human localization professionals to ensure the quality of the dubbing.
Initially, this option will be available for 12 films that previously lacked dubbing support, such as the Spanish animated film “El Cid: La Leyenda,” the family drama “Mi Mamá Lora,” and the independent film “Long Lost.” Dubbing using artificial intelligence is an important step in expanding access to content to a wider audience, as many major streaming companies, such as YouTube, have begun to leverage this technology to provide subtitles in multiple languages. It is worth noting that Prime Video also offers several assistive features such as “X-Ray Recaps” that summarize episodes and seasons, and “Dialogue Boost” that improves the clarity of the voice for difficult parts of the dialogue.
