Paris - Al-Sharqiya, June 2: French player Ousmane Dembele, the star of Paris Saint-Germain, won the award for the best player in the Champions League for the 2024-2025 season, according to the Technical Observers Group of the Union of European Football Associations. The French player's victory came one day after his team won the Champions League title, after sweeping its Italian counterpart, Inter Milan, with five clean goals. The award represents a major boost to Dembele's ambitions to win the Golden Ball award on September 22nd. Dembele ended the current season with a tally of 33 goals and 15 assists in various competitions, in addition to his contribution to his team's coronation in the Champions League, the French League, and the French Cup.
