Paris Saint-Germain is the Champions League champion for the first time in its history

Munich - ALsharqiya, May 31: Paris Saint-Germain were crowned Champions League champions on Saturday, winning the title for the first time in their history, after defeating Inter Milan 5-0 in the final at the Allianz Arena in Munich. Paris Saint-Germain star Achraf Hakimi gave his team an early lead (12th minute) over Inter, capitalizing on a pass from teammate Desiree Doue inside the penalty area. Hakimi's goal took his tally to four goals in the Champions League this season. Paris Saint-Germain's goals were scored by Desiree Doue (20 and 63), Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (73) and substitute Seny Maiolo (87), who made up for their first final defeat five years ago in Lisbon against Bayern Munich. They became the second French team to win the competition after Marseille in 1993, beating AC Milan 1-0 in Munich, but also at their old Olympic stadium, the Olympiastadion. With this, Paris Saint-Germain achieved a treble of titles this season after winning the French League and the French Cup. Inter have not won the continental title since 2010, when they were crowned champions for the third time.
