Nine Iraqi cities are the hottest in the world

Baghdad - ALsharqiya, July 30: Nine Iraqi cities out of 15 continued to top the list of the hottest cities in the world over the past 24 hours. Basra International Airport recorded the highest temperature in the world at 51°C, followed by Kirkuk with 50.9°C, then Amara with 50.5°C, then Al-Hussein neighborhood in Basra and Nasiriyah with 50.2°C. Meanwhile, the Iraqi Meteorological Authority expects temperatures to drop in Iraq starting Wednesday as the so-called hot ball that has swept across the country in recent days begins to withdraw. The Meteorological Authority stated that the drop in temperatures will be significantly noticeable despite the impact of a surface thermal depression on Iraq's atmosphere. Temperatures will be similar and drop in some areas with the appearance of clouds in the north of the country.
