New details about the murder of Diala Al Wadi

Baghdad - ALsharqiya, August 5: The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced on Tuesday new details about the murder of Iraqi artist Diala Salhi al-Wadi, stating that the two accused are a married couple and killed the victim inside her home in the Al-Maliki neighborhood in Damascus for the purpose of robbery. The ministry confirmed their arrest and published a number of stolen items belonging to the victim in the possession of the accused. According to local sources, the perpetrator sneaked into the home of Diala, a professor at the Higher Institute of Music, after previously tracking her movements. He killed her before stealing money and jewelry. Diala is the daughter of the late Iraqi musician Salhi al-Wadi, founder of the Higher Institute of Music and the Symphony Orchestra in Damascus. For its part, Syrian media revealed the identity of the wife who participated in the crime, saying that she worked as a cleaning lady for the victim and that she was involved in bringing her partner into the victim's home to commit the crime. The Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of the couple and the seizure of the stolen items.
