London - ALsharqiya January 1: Apple has sparked widespread controversy after launching a new feature in the Photos app known as "Enhanced Visual Search". The feature allows users to automatically identify people and places in photos stored on their phones or in the cloud, using artificial intelligence technologies. The application can analyze and classify photos based on faces, locations, and even activities, making it easier for users to find and organize photos in innovative and fast ways. Despite the many benefits this feature offers to improve the user experience, it has raised concerns about the security of personal data. Privacy experts point out that the collection and analysis of user data, especially that related to faces and places, can be used in illegal ways if the data is not adequately secured. However, some believe that the decision to activate the feature by default instead of giving users the freedom to choose represents an overreach that may affect users' confidence in the company. So far, Apple has not issued an official statement to respond to these criticisms
