Dubai-Al Sharqiya, October 16: The presence of British model Naomi Campbell was a surprise at the end of Dubai Fashion Week.
She appeared alongside Malaysian designers Risman Nordin and Rosini Jamil during the show that concluded this week's events. Veteran model Naomi Campbell is considered one of the icons of international fashion, and one of the most influential figures in the fashion industry today. Her participation in presenting the final look from the show of the Malaysian house Rizman Ruzaimi was a big surprise, prompting the house’s designers to comment on this participation on their social media accounts with the phrase, “Dreams come true.”
This is the second time that this house participates in Dubai Fashion Week, after its first participation in the spring and summer season of 2023. Naomi appeared in a black look that was completely covered with embroidery, and the collection that was presented was inspired by a Malaysian folk legend. The designs are distinguished by their vibrant colors, such as orange, gold, and turquoise, and are decorated with traditional embroideries.
The last day of Dubai Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2024 also witnessed a show by the famous Filipino designer Michael Cinco, who evoked an atmosphere inspired by Spanish civilization in his third show on this topic. The show included more than 55 looks, some of which were dominated by a flamenco atmosphere. The show opened with a group of red and black designs, and then began using refreshing colors such as light green and white. All designs were distinguished by their luxurious materials and embroidery that covered both women's and men's fashions.
