Mohamed Ashi, the first Gulf designer to be hosted by the Parisian Couture Union

France-ALsharqiya, June 6: Yesterday, Monday, Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi announced his joining the French Federation of Haute Couture, becoming the first Gulf fashion designer to be a guest on this prestigious list. He will present his first shows within the official calendar of Paris Fashion Week on July 6th.

In a post on his Instagram page, the designer revealed his happiness and pride in this field when he said: “This development is the most important thing in my career, and I will respect it. My tribute to the memory of the great fashion designers who came before me and whom I now join in the pursuit of this tradition.” The great distinction in creativity and experience .. This recognition brings me the greatest feelings, it gives me the opportunity to share with you who I am. He thanked his team, and the late Italian Vogue Editor-in-Chief Franca Sozzani, who supported him in his beginnings, as well as all the exceptional women who trusted him time and time again in the most festive moments of their lives, and thanked the Federation of Haute Couture in Paris for inviting him to join his list.

Designer Mohamed Ashi made a special place for himself on the international fashion scene through the shows he made on the sidelines of international fashion weeks and celebrities wearing his costumes on their occasions and on the red carpet of international festivals.

Ashi was born in 1980. He studied fashion design and was trained by the international Lebanese designer Elie Saab, before moving to Beirut as the headquarters of his label, which he established in 2006 under the name Ashi Studio. He then moved to Paris in 2018, where he is keen to introduce new collections to him every season.

Many princesses and celebrities have worn Ashi designs over the years, including: Queen Rania of Jordan, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Cardi B, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, and Aishwarya Rai. He recently signed Princess Iman's appearance at the wedding of her brother Hussein, Crown Prince of Jordan.
