Milan Fashion Week on a date with the elegance of "Dolce Vita"

Italy-Alsharqiya September 21: After the end of London Spring/Summer Fashion Week 2024, the Fashion Month activities moved to the city of Milan, which opened its week last Tuesday and has 176 dates on its calendar between shows, presentations of collections, and celebrations held in different parts of the Italian fashion capital.

Milan Week extends over 5 days (from September 19 to 25), during which 59 physical shows are presented, in addition to 5 digital shows on the last day of its calendar. Find out below the highlights of the first two days:

The first day of this week began with a group of events, the most prominent of which was a show in which emerging designers gathered to support awareness of the importance of research in the field of cancer prevention, followed by the Milano Moda Graduate show, which presents the most promising talents in Italian fashion schools and offers prizes to the best students in this field. .

Fendi celebrated a very elegant woman without affectation, and its creative director, Kim Jones, revealed in notes distributed to the audience during the show that he wanted to evoke the casual elegance that he observed in the Italian capital, where he said: “In Rome, there is an elegance associated with ease and carelessness.” About what other people think - that's true luxury." He focused on the comfort factor without abandoning the elegance that was evident in all the details, from the choice of materials to the luxurious accessories.

Antonio Marras House inspired its designs from the Hollywood atmosphere of the sixties of the last century, specifically from the movie Boom! Which brought together the two stars, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, and was filmed from the Italian region of Sardinia during the year 1967. The show included about 90 women’s and men’s looks that seemed to summarize a golden era in a style that suits the requirements of our modern lives.

Roberto Cavalli turned its showroom into a tropical forest, and its creative director, Fausto Puglisi, was keen to infuse the looks and details of the show, which remained true to this house’s distinct concept of elegance and its love for the “hippie” character. He presented a futuristic vision that breathes new life into an iconic fashion house by drawing a renewed image of the Cavalli woman that combines vibrant touches with innovative elegance.

- Etro House chose to take us during its show on a trip to Cambodia. Its creative director, Marco Di Vincenzo, used the house's rich archive of publications to present designs that he described as seamlessly expressing his personal vision and his obsessions with searching for the rarest patterns and fabrics in various parts of the world, with the aim of making fashion a form of art that is not linked to any borders or restrictions.
