Microsoft: Say goodbye to the mouse and keyboard by 2030

New York - ALsharqiya, August 11: In a recent video, Microsoft revealed its ambitious vision for the future of computer interaction by 2030. The company expects traditional input devices like the mouse and keyboard to disappear, replaced by more natural methods like voice, gestures, and gaze.

David Weston, Microsoft's vice president of enterprise security, likened the use of a mouse in the future to using DOS today, emphasizing that interaction with Windows will be multimodal and more human.

He pointed out that artificial intelligence will enable users to have digital security experts act as personal assistants, making advanced security technologies available to everyone, not just large corporations.

He emphasized that routine tasks like preparing spreadsheets or expense reports will become less important thanks to intelligent automation, reclaiming valuable time for users.

These trends align with Microsoft's investments in artificial intelligence, particularly with the integration of Copilot into Windows and Office, and the "Hey Copilot" feature for executing commands by voice.
