London - ALsharqiya January 4: Microsoft plans to spend about $80 billion in fiscal year 2025 to build data centers to train artificial intelligence models, deploy artificial intelligence applications and cloud computing. According to a post by the American company on its blog on Friday, Microsoft Vice Chairman and President Brad Smith said that more than half of the total investment will be in the United States.
Smith added: "Today, the United States leads the global AI race thanks to private capital investment and innovation from American companies of all sizes, from emerging startups to established companies." The tech giant's capital spending rose 5.3 percent to $20 billion in the first quarter of fiscal year 2025.
