MOSCOW-ALSHARQIYA Oct. 12 : Russian Daniel Medvedev reached his ninth final of the season, beating Stefanos Titipas 7-6, 7-5 at the Shanghai Masters on Saturday. Medvedev, the runner-up in the US Open and seeking his fourth ATP title in his exceptional 2019 season, will meet German Alexander Zverev in the final on Sunday. Medvedev grabbed 84 percent of his first serve and saved four of his five break points to improve his winning streak in 2019. . While sending the match to a 5-4 lead, Medvedev missed an opportunity to break his opponent after making four mistakes. But he overcame frustration by breaking Titipas in the next half and went ahead to book a place in the sixth consecutive final with a decisive shot followed by a direct shot.
