Erbil - Al Sharqiya, August 12: The Ministry of Electricity in the Kurdistan Regional Government announced its support for the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity after the system collapsed yesterday, Monday. The spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Omid Ahmed, said that the Iraqi electricity grid lost more than 20,000 megawatts of electricity, while the current production capacity in Kurdistan is more than 8,000 megawatts. With the completion of the Ronaki project, production will increase to meet the growing demand.
