Tehran - ALsharqiya, August 9: Ali Akbar Velayati, advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader, said that his country opposes the Lebanese government's decision to disarm Hezbollah. Tasnim News Agency quoted Velayati as saying that Iran definitely opposes the disarmament of Hezbollah because it has always helped the Lebanese people and continues to do so. Velayati also spoke about the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) in Iraq, saying that the role played by the PMF in Iraq is the same as the role played by Hezbollah in Lebanon.
