Baghdad - Al Sharqiya, August 5: The Iraqi Naval Forces Command carried out a security exercise in Khor Abdullah, the territorial waters, to pursue smugglers of oil derivatives. Footage showed boats flying the Iraqi flag deployed in the territorial waters and Khor Abdullah during the exercise, which aims to limit oil smuggling operations. The Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) had identified a few days ago, in a document addressed to the National Security Service, a number of tankers involved in crude oil smuggling operations through Iraqi ports.
