Iraqi Ministry of Oil: Production was not affected by the war

Baghdad - ALsharqiya June 21: Iraqi Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani revealed that the country's oil sector has been affected by the ongoing war between Iran and Israel. Abdul Ghani told Asharqia News that the continued closure of Iraqi airspace as a result of the war has delayed the arrival of foreign experts in the oil and gas fields, and that this impact has not been reflected in production and exports, but rather delayed the ongoing development of oil fields. Regarding the repercussions of the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, Iraqi Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani told Asharqia News that the ministry is working to find alternatives to export Iraqi crude oil in the event of the closure of the strait, noting that oil production operations are continuing in Iraq within the OPEC agreement and within production limits.
