London - ALsharqiya December 23: The short blogging service "Threads" on the social networking platform Instagram has added a new feature for reposting photos and videos. The technology website "TechCrunch" indicated that the new feature allows Threads users on the Instagram platform to click on a new option, "Use Media", to repost the photo or video directly in a new post, instead of posting quotes from the original post and then adding comments. The new feature also allows users to add their text with the photo or video, while it remains attributed to the original post owner.
Adam Mosseri, head of "Instagram", owned by "Meta Platforms", the owner of Facebook, revealed the new feature in a post on the Threads service, indicating that the new option will be "a quick way to add the user's creative touches to the photos spread" on the social networking platform.
Another post on the Threads account noted that the original credit for the photo or video will appear in the top left corner of the photo or video when it is reposted using the “Use Media” feature. To access the “Use Media” option, users can long-press on any media posted on Threads, whether it is a photo or video, or click the repost button, which will then show the “Use Media” option in the pop-up window below “Repost” and “Quote.”
