Giorgio Armani presents the best closing of Milan Fashion Week

Italy-Alsharqiya September 27: Veteran designer Giorgio Armani concluded Milan Fashion Week with a show in which he proved once again that he is the undisputed master of Italian fashion. He used various types of sparkle, exploring through his designs with variable reflections the energy resulting from human emotions, sensations, and feelings.

Mr. Armani chose the title Vibes for his Spring 2024 women's ready-to-wear collection, which he presented to the public in the historic Via Borgonovo palace in central Milan, where he had previously presented his first shows. He has proven once again, despite his 89th year, that he is a living legend who has not ceased to amaze us since the launch of his fashion house in 1975.

In a chat with journalists on the sidelines of his show, Mr. Armani joked about his new collection, “For once, there is no beige,” the color he has used as an iconic symbol for his designs over the years. He continued in this field: “The title of this collection comes from vibrations that express color and movement. It is like a structure that develops on the body, and it inspired me to present these designs.”

The opening of the show was accompanied by a group of neutral looks that varied between classic gray and golden bronze, taking the form of elegant modern suits. Then Mr. Armani moved to the world of vibrant colors with marine hues that varied between green and blue, before moving to deep glossy black and ending his presentation with bright pearly touches.

The show included about 60 looks that focused on sparkling fabrics such as satin, silk, and shantung, in addition to lurex leather. Iridescent touches, strass grains, and sparkling embroidery entered many looks.

The pants were the most prominent piece in this collection. They were decorated with pleats at the waist and a slightly rounded cut at the sides, so they could be worn straight with shoes attached to ankle ties. Some models also wore them under long tulle skirts.

The designer used the game of transparency to highlight the movement of the body through the use of tulle, fringes, and long ribbons, which were enhanced by the light with its sparkling touches. Mr. Armani once again gave us an applied lesson on the concept of “quiet luxury,” which he launched years ago and which in recent years has turned into a trend sweeping fashion with confident steps.
