Fish Producers Association: Production has declined by 50% due to water shortages.

Dhi Qar - Al Sharqiya , July 30: Activists on social media circulated shocking images of drought and low water levels in the marshes of Dhi Qar. The Iraqi Fish Producers Association confirmed the existence of heavy losses and a decline in production of more than 50%, and that drought and low water levels led to the death of hundreds of tons of fish. The drought crisis also hit the southern governorates, especially Dhi Qar and Maysan, and caused massive migration and water outages in the districts and sub-districts, in addition to the marshes.
