Farmers are suffering huge financial losses and are forced to sell their livestock.

Maysan -Al sharqiya , August 7: Farmers and residents of the marshes have suffered huge financial losses and a major economic decline after being forced to sell their livestock at low prices that do not exceed 30% of their real value. Environmental activists say that the production of buffalo and cow milk in the marsh areas has completely stopped due to severe drought and the decline of natural pastures. After buffaloes used to produce up to two liters of milk daily, they have turned into emaciated animals that do not produce milk and do not reproduce, which has caused a serious environmental and economic deterioration.
