LUXURY-ALSHARQIYA Oct 19 : Egypt announced on Saturday a new archaeological discovery in Luxor of 30 colorful wooden coffins for men, women and children, all in good condition, the largest human cache found in more than a century. The Ministry of Antiquities called the cache the cache of the Assasif after the cemetery where the coffins were found on the mainland in Luxor and include tombs from multiple families in ancient Egypt. The ministry said the coffins that were uncovered by the status of the ancient Egyptian were in two levels, one comprising 18 coffins and the second containing 12 coffins. Mustafa Waziri, head of the Egyptian mission that investigated the discovery, said that this is the first large human coffin cache discovered in full since the end of the nineteenth century and added today, more than a century later, Egyptian archaeologists add another new cache in Luxor. He explained that the discovered coffins belong to the priests, priests and children of the 22nd Dynasty of the tenth century BC, or about 3000 years ago, and indicate the different stages of the way the coffins were made in that period, including the complete decorations and colors, and what is in the early stages of manufacturing.
