Efforts to control the largest forest fire in France

Paris - Al Sharqiya, August 7: Firefighters in the Aude region of southern France continue to battle the largest forest fire the country has seen in 80 years. Authorities explained that the fire is spreading "very quickly" and that 2,000 firefighters are trying to control it, adding that electricity in the region has been cut off to about 2,500 homes. The fires have devoured 13,000 hectares, the largest area burned this year in one of the worst forest fires in France.
