Despite the theft of her looks, “Balmain” announces that her show will continue on schedule

France-Alsharqiya September 20: The French authorities announced the opening of an investigation into the theft of more than 50 pieces from the collection that Balmain intends to present in a few days during the Paris Ready-to-Wear Week, which will be held between September 25 and next October 3.

The theft occurred last Saturday and resulted in the loss of a large group of looks for the upcoming spring and summer that the house will present in its presentation during the activities of Paris Fashion Week. It has been announced that an investigation has been opened into the theft by organized gangs of these pieces, and its follow-up has been entrusted to the judicial police in Seine-Saint-Sea. Donnie.

Balmain confirmed to Agence France-Presse that it is keen to present its offer on time on the evening of September 27, but does not wish to issue any comment on this incident in order to ensure that the investigation takes its course.

This theft was revealed on the Instagram account of Balmain designer Olivier Rousteing, and it comes just a few days before the house is scheduled to show during Paris Fashion Week. Rousteing said through his account: “Our driver called us to inform us that he had been attacked by a group of people who had stolen more than 50 pieces of the house’s designs.” The driver was transporting these pieces in a truck from the airport to Balmain's headquarters in Paris. Rousteing, who has been creative director at Balmain since 2011, continued: “I worked with my team day and night to prepare this collection, and what happened to us shows a lack of respect. I wanted to share with you what happened to us to remind you not to take anything for granted.”

A French police source revealed that the truck was stolen by an armed gang as it left Roissy Airport. The gunmen asked the driver to get out of the truck before they fled with it, while a source close to the investigation revealed that dozens of packages had been stolen and that the value of the stolen items was still being evaluated.

During his 12-year career at Balmain, Olivier Rousteing was able to bring the world of luxury closer to the younger generation. He succeeded in spreading the concept of fashion democracy, and in turn he turned into a star who appears alongside celebrities and on the red carpet at international festivals. How will he overcome the problem of losing a large portion of his new collection shortly before its presentation?
