London - ALsharqiya , June 28: Axios revealed that the head of the US House of Representatives' Administrative Office issued a decision banning the use of WhatsApp on official devices of congressional staff, following warnings from the Office of Cybersecurity.
Authorities described the app as a high risk due to a lack of transparency in data protection, weak encryption, and potential security failures. The official document recommended using more secure alternatives such as Microsoft Teams, Wickr, Signal, iMessage, and FaceTime.
