Paris - Al-Sharqiya August 18: French film star Alain Delon has died at the age of 88, according to his three sons. The sons said in a joint statement that their father died peacefully at his home in Duchy, surrounded by his three children and family in the early hours of the night. The family asked for his privacy to be respected during the moment of mourning. The French cinema legend was born on November 8, 1935 in a suburb of Paris called "Hauts-de-Seine." Delon married French actress Nathalie Delon in 1964 and they separated in 1969 after having one child. He then married actress Rosalie Van Breemen in 1987 and they separated in 2011 after having two children. Alain Dion was known as the most handsome star in French cinema, as he gained international fame after playing the lead role in the film "Purple Afternoon" in 1960, in which he played the role of the handsome adventurer.
