Madrid - Al Sharqiya, June 2: Real Madrid announced the nature of the injury of its Belgian goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois, after he underwent medical examinations by the club's medical staff. The club said on its official website that Courtois is suffering from inflammation in the sacroiliac joint, without specifying the club's position on the player's participation with the team in the 2025 Club World Cup. Courtois' contract with Real Madrid extends until June 30, 2026, but some media sources confirm that the club's management is considering extending the contract for an additional two years, despite the club's unannounced policy regarding players over the age of thirty.
