Court: The decision was made due to the Italian coach's evasion of taxes.

Madrid - Al Sharqiya, July 10: A Spanish court sentenced former Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti to one year in prison after accusing him of tax fraud. The court accused Ancelotti of deliberately concealing part of his income from image rights from the Spanish tax authorities when he was leading Real Madrid in 2014. It is worth noting that Spanish law rarely requires the application of a prison sentence for any accused for a period of less than two years for a non-violent crime, as long as he has not been previously convicted. This means that the coach will not be obligated to serve this sentence, as he will only pay a fine of approximately 386,000 euros.
