Damascus - Al-Sharqiya, August 12: A Syrian soldier was killed in clashes between the Syrian army and the Syrian Democratic Forces east of Aleppo. The Syrian Ministry of Defense said that two groups of SDF infiltrated towards Syrian army positions in the Tal Maaz area, prompting the Syrian army to respond to the sources of fire and thwart the infiltration operation. The advancing forces were forced to withdraw to their original positions. The Ministry of Defense stressed the need for the SDF to adhere to the agreements signed with the government and to stop the infiltration, shelling and provocations targeting army personnel and civilians in Aleppo and its countryside.
