The earnings, though modest, dislodged "Barbie" from the top spot, after a record-breaking streak that left movie theaters pink for a month.
Warner Bros.'s "Barbie" grossed a whopping $155 million from theaters in North America, in what was the year's biggest opening and the strongest opening weekend for a movie directed by a woman.
Just three weeks later, "Barbie" was a smash hit, collecting $1.03 billion at the global box office.
This achievement made the writer and director, Greta Gerwig, history as the first female director to make a movie that achieves a billion dollars.
