Baghdad-ALsharqiya, August 6: The Iraqi Ministry of Communications announced that the Telegram platform has been blocked from operating in the country based on security needs that require preserving the safety of user information. The Ministry of Communications confirmed in a statement that the Telegram application was blocked based on directives from the higher authorities for determinants related to national security and in order to preserve the personal data of citizens that the aforementioned application violated the integrity of dealing with it in violation of the law.
