Barcelona - Al Sharqiya 08 August: Spanish club Barcelona decided to withdraw the captaincy from its German goalkeeper, Ter Stegen, after the medical report crisis. Ter Stegen refused to sign the medical report regarding the back operation he recently underwent, which the club’s management considered an obstruction to the club’s efforts to register new players before the start of the new season of the Spanish League. The Catalan club opened disciplinary procedures against the German goalkeeper, considering that his position is not consistent with the responsibilities of the team captain, which necessitated withdrawing the captaincy from him.
