Authorities evacuate more than 1,300 people from Mersin and Karabük provinces.

ANKARA - Al sharqiya, July 27: Turkish authorities announced on Sunday the evacuation of thousands of people after the expansion of forest fires in many regions of the country and their arrival to residential areas in the north and south. In Bursa province, northwest Turkey, the fires that broke out last night in the mountain forests spread quickly due to strong winds and high temperatures, reaching many residential complexes, which forced local authorities to evacuate about 2,000 people from their homes. In Mersin and Karabuk provinces in the south of the country, more than 1,300 people were evacuated due to the spread of the fires.
