Arsenal sign winger Madueke from Chelsea

London - Al Sharqiya July 18: English club Arsenal announced the signing of winger Noni Madueke from Chelsea on a long-term contract. The north London club did not disclose the financial details of the deal, but British media reported that it was worth £48 million ($64.5 million) between the two London rivals, in addition to a further £4 million in add-ons after the player signed a five-year contract. Madueke, 23, joined Chelsea from Dutch club PSV Eindhoven in January 2023 and made 92 appearances in all competitions, scoring 20 goals and providing nine assists. Madueke was born in the north London suburb of Barnet and trained in the Crystal Palace and then Tottenham Hotspur youth academies before moving to PSV Eindhoven at the age of 16. Madueke said in a statement, “I was feeling relaxed and waiting for the green light, and when I arrived today, it felt like I was on the ground. I am very happy and very proud, so it is a great moment for me. It is great to I'm going home and being with my mum and dad. I know my mum misses me at home. "It's a really great team with a clear identity and I can't wait to add my style to the team and try to help the players as much as possible to take the next step." Madueke is known for his direct dribbling ability and pace and has primarily played on the right wing for Chelsea, but he is capable of playing on either side.
