Baghdad - ALsharqiya, July 12: The coach of the Iraqi national football team, Graham Arnold, confirmed his confidence in the Lions of Mesopotamia’s victory if they face Saudi Arabia or Qatar in the World Cup qualifying play-offs. He also explained that he is following the Iraqi Cup matches to watch the local players. Arnold said, during a press conference, that there is a preparation plan for the national team in preparation for the decisive Asian play-offs, indicating that he worked hard in the previous period to choose the best method to prepare the players and lead them in the play-offs. The Iraqi national team coach confirmed that he communicated with the players and informed them of the need to maintain their fitness and (diet) until the Asian play-off matches to qualify for the World Cup. He added that if we face Saudi Arabia or Qatar, we will win and we are confident of that. He also stated that he has agreed with the Iraqi Football Association to work on securing two friendly matches that will be determined after knowing the teams he will face in the group.
