Basra - ALsharqiya, August 13: At least seven people were killed and more than 40 others injured in a tragic traffic accident involving a passenger bus transporting Arbaeen pilgrims in Basra Governorate. The head of the security committee in the Basra Provincial Council, Aqeel Al-Furaiji, said that the initial statistics of the traffic accident, which occurred between the Rumaila area and the Al-Sidra checkpoint, resulted in the death of at least seven people and the injury of 40 others. The bus was heading from the Shalamcheh border crossing, transporting Iranian pilgrims to Karbala Governorate.
