Paris-ALsharqiya, July 5: The Paris High-end Sewing Week maintained its scheduled date from July 3 to July 6, despite the recent riots that took place in several French regions after a teenager was killed by the French police. Yesterday, Monday, was full of remarkable performances that many were waiting for and following in person or on social media.
The official calendar of Paris Haute Couture Week has recorded about 35 shows that will be presented over four days. The first day witnessed the presentation of 11 shows, the first of which was signed by Schiaparelli House at ten in the morning, and the last of which was signed by Giambattista Valli at seven thirty in the evening.
Dior used to book themselves an appointment on the first day of Paris Haute Couture Week. And she presented one of the highly anticipated performances on this occasion, transporting the audience in her fall-winter 2023 show to a world of refined elegance. The creative director of the house, Maria Grazia Chiuri, sought to celebrate Dior's symbols through exceptional designs that combine femininity and tenderness. The colors chosen for this collection evoked an atmosphere of softness and delicacy with pure white, neutral beige, and sparkling silver... Perforations and embroidery were introduced to add romantic touches to the looks.
For Schiaparelli's Fall/Winter 2023 Haute Couture collection, Creative Director Daniel Rosebery takes his audience on a daring journey into the surreal world for which the house has been known since its inception. He was keen to decorate his designs with exotic textures, cuts, lines, and accessories, which made the looks go beyond the limits of the ordinary, while preserving the classicism in the field of colors, relying on black and white, with a shy appearance of colors, while the gold entered with its radiance on the looks, adding to it more luxury and brilliance.
The Giambattista Valli collection was a celebration of privacy and distinction, as it consisted of about 35 looks and was presented in the new Parisian headquarters of the house, which was decorated for the occasion with flower petals. The house has proven through its designs that minimalism can find its roots in the classics, using complex techniques in the field of high-end tailoring to implement outfits with lines that highlight the body and huge sizes. Each look is designed to have a distinct personality that represents individuality and privacy, while emphasizing the artistic craftsmanship behind each design.
